Mike has worked at a number of hotels and restaurants. Hotels may hold a variety of events to promote the hotel in the locality and more widely - for example they may have special events at Christmas and New Year, as well a bar-b-q in the summer. Effective close up magic can enhance all of these events tremendously. Mike's act is aimed at adults and teenagers. However, Mike always has effects at hand suitable for young children - so he can entertain everyone to a high standard.

Mike also has significant successful experience of working in restaurants. Close up magic can provide diners with excellent entertainment, right under their noses! Mike does not ruin a good meal! He works the tables whilst diners are waiting after having placed their order, or between courses. To do this he uses common sense and liaises with the staff. A number of restaurants provide entertainment at no extra charge because this helps provide an extra dimension to the restaurant - one night there may be jazz or blues guitar, and on another night a magician or a performance poet!
